Nasarawa Governor Orders Early Salary Payment for Sallah Celebration

Ahead of the Sallah celebration on June 16th, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has directed the immediate payment of June salaries to civil servants. The announcement was made during an empowerment program organized by Commissioner for Special Duties, Humanitarian Affairs, and NGOs, Hon. Magret Elayo.

Governor Sule also instructed the chairmen of Nasarawa's 13 local government areas to use their savings to pay workers’ salaries before the holiday. He emphasized the need to test the veracity of the local governments' claimed savings, urging them not to wait for funds from Abuja.

“Sunday is going to be Sallah day. You have enough savings in accounts that whether money has not come from Abuja, you can pay salaries," he stated, ensuring that the state government will also fulfill its salary obligations without issues.
